December, 2002. SemiWell Semiconductor Launches Two types of excellent Ruggedness MOSFET for PFC and Inverter of straight type Ballast. SemiWell Semiconductor Co., Ltd. has developed 400V and 500V rated Mosfet applicable to PFC and Inverter of Straight type Ballast. These devices are SFP730 and SFP830 mounted on TO-220 package. Their characteristic in Avalanche Ruggedness and SOA is far superior to other competitors' distributed in the market, and can be replaced with other foreign brands in Ballast Market requiring the high reliability . Especially, these two devices are designed to minimize the possibility of quality issues caused by the breakdown on drain to source or high dv/dt at the ignition of ballast.
